Our Costa Rica Trip
1999
Day 9 we stayed at
Bosque De Paz (Forest of Peace) - and it was peaceful!!!!
View from our room
toward the classroom and dining area where we made a LOT
of yummy noises!
Outside our lovely room (with REAL beds!)
Inside the Bosque
Ramon (a wild Coati)
and Fredrico, our wonderful naturalist guide.
We learned more at Bosque de Paz from Fredrico than we learned
everywhere else. It was a wonderful experience.
At Bosque, they fill
8 hummingbird feeders 4 times a day
Magnificant Hummingbirds
(?) above
We think these are
Mountain Gems (there was SO much to remember) perched. To the
left of the feeder in the picture on the right is a
Violet Sabrewing, the largest hummingbird we have seen. They were
very plentiful and very active in the area.
Two different kinds
of beetle from the grounds at Bosque
